North Carolina State University, located in the heart of North Carolina's capital city of Raleigh, is one of the premier education and research institutions in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. NC State is a Research I university with sponsored programs that cover a spectrum of more than 1,200 scientific, technological and scholarly research endeavors. The University offers Baccalaureate degrees in 89 fields, Master's degrees in 80 fields, and Doctoral degrees in 51 fields with a focus in the Agricultural sciences and Engineering. With student enrollment in excess of 27,000, NC State is the largest university in North Carolina. Full-time faculty and staff total 7,345. Centennial Campus, a partnership between academia and industry adjacent to NC State's main campus, is quickly emerging as the Research Triangle Area's fastest growing development. This is the first campus or research park of its kind in the United States.
